Where have you been?

It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things. –Leonardo da Vinci

Palette, paint and brush

Normally, I have a post every week over at my painting blog, but recently I’ve been AWOL over there.  So, unfortunately, I seem to have disappeared..

I may be a little quiet, but the paintings are still coming.  I have quite a few actually, but for the time being they are being held back for the show coming up in November at Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head, NC.  (The current collection of 5″x7″ and 6″x8″ pieces in progress are pictured below – the larger paintings are not shown)  With 40-60 pieces requested (plus others committed to the exhibition in Jackson Hole in August), I want everything set before having too many extras in the new releases posts.  Hopefully soon I’ll have both!  :)

In all of my spare moments when I’m not in the studio (which lately is rare) I’m tweaking on some other projects I’m working on.  Going slow, but still going.. :)  More on that later, though.

Unveiling of the shows online will happen closer to the exhibition openings..  In the mean time, I have some work to do..

You say you use watercolor board. Is there a certain brand that you like. Do you use the mini brush set on your paints. I have seen a set that Jerry’s Artarama sells. Do you have an instructional video or thought of making one. If so I would love to have a copy.. if it isn’t too expensive. I love your artwork and I share it on facebook each day..
    Take care,
