Catching up on posts of some observations from the past year… The highlight of my winter was visiting the swans that spend the cold season along Lake St Croix near where I live. Being right on the Mississippi flyway brings so much wildlife and inspiration.
Sitting on the ice for hours in the numbing cold was so worth it to spend time with these beautiful visitors and watching Trumpeter Swan behavior. It’s especially interesting seeing the families, nearly grown youth and their parents, interacting with each other.
