Here is a little peek of what I have been up to lately in Grand Teton National Park. Most of my time has been spent finding wildlife – It looks like we will have filled a 2TB portable drive by the time we leave, not to mention what was sent to the cloud. Most of the media in this post are habitat. (Sorry for not sharing too many animals.. I am saving the best of them for new paintings!)
I had been a bit burnt out after finishing up so many pieces earlier this Fall, but I think all of the natural inspiration has cured it. I’m getting pretty anxious to be back in the studio to start working on some of these! Getting out to see the wildlife and surrounding habitat, observing behaviors, and learning about these animals is so important for making artwork that is true to the subject. It’s also one of my favorite parts of the job!
