I’m delighted to share that my painting, Illuminated Grace – Black Necked Swan, will be exhibited at the Salmagundi Club’s 44th Annual Open Painting, Sculpture & Graphics Exhibition in New York City, from June 10 to June 27, 2025. The Skylight Gallery at 47 Fifth Avenue is such a wonderful setting, and I’m honored to be part of this celebrated event.
This painting was an inspiring challenge—one that brought me a great deal of joy from the very first brushstroke. I was captivated by the way sunlight illuminated the black necked swan, highlighting its striking black, white, and red features against a serene blue background. The interplay of bold colors and the elegant lines of the swan seemed to flow effortlessly as I painted, each detail unfolding naturally and inviting me to explore the nuances of light and reflection.
For me, Illuminated Grace is about celebrating the quiet majesty of the swan and the sense of wonder that comes from truly seeing the world’s beauty. Creating this piece felt like a dance between observation and expression, and I hope that joy and reverence shine through when you view it.
If you’re in New York during the exhibition, I’d love for you to experience this painting in person. Thank you for following along on my artistic journey and for sharing in the moments of inspiration that keep me painting.
