As Untamed Splendor reaches its midway point, I find myself pausing to absorb the quiet currents of this journey—both as the creator and as a fellow witness to the wild moments celebrated in this collection.
It has been a privilege to share these paintings and stories with you over the past several weeks. In reading your reflections and in hearing what has resonated, I am reminded that art, at its best, forges connections beyond distance and time. The natural world offers us moments of profound beauty—fleeting glances, subtle gestures, a hush at the forest’s edge—that linger in memory long after they have passed. Those are the moments I’ve sought to honor in my work, and it is deeply meaningful to know they have found a place in your own experience.
There is both vulnerability and resilience woven into each subject—qualities I’ve encountered time and again while observing wildlife in the field. At this stage of the exhibition, I am struck by a renewed sense of gratitude for the creatures and wild spaces that inspire me to look more closely and tread more lightly. My hope is that Untamed Splendor continues to serve as an invitation to pause, to see beyond the surface, and to share in a gentler attentiveness to the living world.
Thank you for traveling this path with me. I look forward to what the second half of the show will bring, and to the continued conversations and shared sense of wonder that make this journey so rewarding.
