Birds of Prey in the Studio

Rebecca Latham is an artist known for her stunning paintings of birds of prey. Currently, she is working on two new paintings that are sure to captivate audiences with their incredible detail and beauty.

The first painting features a portrait of a great horned owl. This majestic bird is depicted looking behind him with intensity, his piercing gaze captured perfectly by Latham’s skilled brushstrokes. The well-lit setting of the painting highlights the intricate details of the owl’s feathers, giving the piece a sense of realism that is truly breathtaking.

The second painting by Latham is a brightly lit American kestrel with its wings spread, landing on an aged log. The background of the painting is filled with light golden grasses that appear almost like lace, creating a beautiful and serene setting for the kestrel. The bird itself is depicted with incredible attention to detail, each feather carefully rendered to create a sense of movement and grace.

I was wondering if these paintings will be available for sale and if yes where . I recently purchased 2 of your paintings from Seaside gallery and became a fan ( as many others .. )

Hi Jana. Thank you, I’m glad you like them! These and likely many of my new originals coming out will be going to Seaside Art Gallery. The kestrel in this post is already sold, however. I am trying to finish an assortment by the end of the year and then will be starting more.

I’m sorry you missed that one. I will see if I can find references to start another kestrel with the same tone. Thank you. Merry Christmas and a Happy and healthful New Year to you, too.
